In this short article, I am going to show you how implement Zeerat through Google Tag Manager. But, first of all I tell you what Zeerat is and what you get from using this tool. Basically, if you use Google Search then the response you get is Analytics and Feedback platform for web. Let me provide you a brief description of that tool.
Zeerat offers functionalities such as heatmap functionality, basic analytics reporting, funnels as well as user recording. Simply, you can get a brief digital analytics overview and even watch how users browse through your site. Yes, it offers you also a video to be watched. Furthermore, it automatically segments data into desktop, mobile or tablet visits.
Why is it useful? In my opinion, you can go deeper in your site analysis as this tools enables some functionalities that you do not get or are limited in Google Analytics. Pricing seems to be reasonable and up to 1000 recordings is free (with limited functionalities). Not a bad deal, right!?
Well, see below how UI of Zeerat looks like. That is an example of heatmap functionality.
And now how to implement it through GTM onto your site? It is pretty simple!
Firstly, you need to create an account in Zeerat. Once it is done, you are logged in then you will be offered a code that you need to copy and implemented onto your site.
Go back to GTM and create a new tag. Choose “Custom HTML” tag and paste the code you copied. Set the condition according your needs (if you want to track specific pages, define the rules). Finally, click the save button. Test and verify if it fires.
That is all! Feel free to comment.
